Catalyst Products Description
The product name of MXC-8 is N, n-dimethylcyclohexylamine (DMCHA), and its CAS number is 98-94-2. The catalyst is a strong alkaline, transparent, colorless to light yellow liquid tertiary amine. The substance has a characteristic amine taste. The DMCHA catalyst darkens at rest, but does not affect reactivity. It is soluble in most polyols and organic solvents, but basically insoluble in water. It can be used as a catalyst for a wide range of applications including all types of rigid packaging foam.

Application
DMCHA catalyst is recommended for evaluation in a broad range of rigid foams. A major application is insulation foams, including spray, slabstock, board laminate and refrigeration formulations. DMCHA catalyst is also used in rigid foam furniture frame and decorative parts manufacturing. It can be used alone without any tin catalyst, or used together with other catalysts depending on rocess and specific requirements.
