Catalyst Products Description
MXC-B20 is a bismuth metal-carboxylate catalyst that can be used as a cocatalyst with tertiary amines to accelerate polyurethane reactions and curing. It is free of mercury, lead and dibutyltin. A low-volatility, low-odor catalyst, it is an alternative to tin-based catalysts in flexible block, high-density flexible foam, spray, microporous and rigid foam systems.
BRAND NAME: MXC-B20

Advantages
Strong urethane or gelation metal catalyst
Exhibits delayed viscosity build on front-end at low usage levels while promoting excel-lent back-end cure
Free of mercury, lead and dibutyl tin
Low volatility with little or no odor
Compatibility with common rigid and flexible foam polyols

Applications
MXC-B20 gel catalyst has utility in the manufacture of rigid, microcellular, and high-density semi-flexible polyurethane foams as an alternative to traditional metal catalysts based on dibutyl tin, lead or mer-cury. In applications where cure times with amine catalysis alone are too long, the ex-tra activity obtained by a synergistic com-bination of metal carboxylates like MXC-B20 catalyst with amine catalysts permits rapid cure with excellent foam performance while avoiding tin. Example applications include high density structural rigid foam, rigid spray wall insu-lation, rigid board stock run at high line speeds, Reaction Injection Molding (RIM), and microcellular integral skin foam.

FIRST AID MEASURES
General advice :Seek medical advice. If breathing has stopped or is labored, give assisted respirations. Supplemental oxygen may be indicated. If the heart has stopped, trained personnel should begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation immediately.
Eye contact :Rinse immediately with plenty of water also under the eyelids for at least 20 minutes. Remove contact lenses.
Skin contact :Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 20 minutes. Immediately remove contaminated clothing, and any extraneous chemical, if possible to do so without delay. Ingestion :If a person vomits when lying on his back, place him in the recovery position. Prevent aspiration of vomit. Turn victim's head to the side.
Inhalation :If breathing has stopped or is labored, give assisted respirations. Supplemental oxygen may be indicated. If the heart has stopped, trained personnel should begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation immediately. Move to fresh air.
Most important :Repeated and/or prolonged exposure to low concentrations of vapors and/or aerosols symptoms/effects - acute and may cause: Sore throat. delayed
